Every day, 60 children from the township of Roosboom, orphaned of father and/or mother, are welcomed at the Halfway House run by Dessigning Hope and its local partner Silethithemba. After a period of play and after-school tutoring, they then receive a home-cooked meal of rice or cornmeal (pap), accompanied by a sauce using vegetables from the garden.
