As it does every month, Designing Hope, with the support of The Ivory Foundation, distributed food parcels to the Piggs Peak Hospital in Eswatini. These parcels, containing fresh vegetables, oil and dried fruit, are intended for the most vulnerable HIV-positive patients, to help them cope better with their treatment and improve their nutritional balance.
Some of the vegetables come directly from the ‘Garden of Skills’, created by the association in 2022. This community garden perfectly illustrates the importance of local and sustainable production, which now benefits hospital patients.
Thanks to these initiatives, food support has become a true relay of solidarity, connecting the daily work of the women in the garden to the essential needs of the most
vulnerable patients.
