The gardening team at the Roosboom Halfway House is now proudly wearing its new working suits made by the women trained in sewing at Garden of Skills.
Every day, the gardeners maintain the many plots prepared for the southern winter, mainly spinach and cabbages, both inside the greenhouse and in the outdoor growing areas.
These new uniforms also symbolise the strong connection between the different projects supported by Designing Hope, linking vocational training, economic empowerment and community-based agricultural production across Eswatini, Lesotho and South Africa.
