The seamstresses at the Jardin des Savoir-Faire workshop have just won a significant order from Wendy Lane, a company specializing in the construction of wooden buildings.
This company is also behind the Jardin des Savoir-Faire itself.
Seduced by Designing Hope’s solidarity-based approach and the quality of the work carried out by the women in the workshop, the head of Wendy Lane entrusted the team with the manufacture of 30 work jackets and pants, personalized with the company’s embroidered logo.
This first contract with a South African company represents an important milestone for the seamstresses. It reinforces the credibility of their workshop and paves the way for new opportunities with other companies in the region.
