Extension work at Half Way House in Roosboom

posted in: Half Way House

The Halfway house in Roosboom was built by Designing Hope in 2011, with the support of the Air France Foundation, to welcome 60 orphans from the disadvantaged township of Roosboom in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa, every afternoon after school.

After all these years, maintenance work was needed to ensure continued care for the children.

On the agenda: plumbing work to connect the house to the borehole newly installed with the support of the Bel Foundation, refurbishment of the kitchen, replacement of windows, but above all an extension of the premises and the creation of a new room for tutoring.

The roof will also be completely redone on the new surface.
